Please be aware that some visa applications made earlier this month may be subject to a delay in processing due to a system problem experienced on 9 October.  All applications caught up in the backlog will soon be processed.  However further delay to your visa decision may be experienced.  All new applications submitted on or after 10 October are unaffected.  The UK Border Agency apologises for any inconvenience caused.
