Wording for refusals: Sections 31-35

31. Investors

31.1 Insufficient money/not own money "...but I am not satisfied that you have no less than £100,000 of your own money under your control and disposable in the United Kingdom."


Paragraph 224(i)
31.2 Insufficient investment "...but I am not satisfied that you intend to invest no less than £750,000 of your own capital in the United Kingdom by way if United Kingdom Government bonds or share capital or loan capital on active and trading United Kingdom registered companies [other than those principally engaged in property investment and excluding deposits with a bank, building society or other enterprise whose normal course of business includes the acceptance of deposits."

31.3 Intention to live elsewhere "...but I am not satisfied that you intend to make the United Kingdom your main home."

32. Writers, Composers and artists

32.1 Established "...but I am not satisfied that you have established yourself outside the United Kingdom as a/writer/ composer/artist primarily involved in producing work which has been published (other than in newspapers or magazines)/ performed/exhibited for its literary/musical/artistic merit."

33.1 Not related as required "...but I am not satisfied that you are married to a person who is [to be] admitted/allowed in to the United Kingdom as a/an businessmen/ investor/writer/ composer/artist."

33.2 Spouse refused entry clearance "...but your spouse’s application for entry clearance has been refused and consequently I am not satisfied that you are married to a person who is [to be] admitted/allowed in to the United Kingdom as a/an businessman/.......etc."

33.3 Spouse not in UK or not in appropriate category within the UK "...but I am not satisfied that you are married to a person admitted/allowed to remain in the United Kingdom as a/an businessman/.....etc."

34. Children of businessmen, investors, writers, composers or artists

34.1 Not related as claimed "...but I am not satisfied that you are the child of a parent [to be] admitted/allowed to remain in the United Kingdom of a/an businessman/investor/writer/ composer/artist."

34.2 Parent refused entry clearance "...but your mother/father’s application for entry clearance in that capacity has been refused and consequently I am not satisfied that your are the child of a parent admitted/allowed to remain in the United kingdom as a/an businessman/......etc."

35.1 Failure to produce evidence that UK court has granted access "...but I am not satisfied that you have produced evidence that a court in the United Kingdom has granted you access rights to your child/children."
