This section lists recent updates made to Entry Clearance Guidance pages. This is the internal guidance used by entry clearance staff for handling visa applications made outside the United Kingdom (UK). It is a live document under constant review and is for information only. November 2009

  • VAT1.4 and VAT 1.5 - new content on: Visa validity - what period for a multiple entry visit visa and Frequency and duration of visits
  • VAT3.9 includes information on long term visit visa applications from child visitors

October 2009

  • ECB9.3(b) - new subparagraph on Process for authorisation to issue a UFF

September 2009

  • ECB6.6 amended in line with OPI 161
  • New guidance on applications from Turkish nationals in accordance with ECAA
