VAT28.1 Witnesses attending trials in the UK
ECOs may receive applications from key witnesses to attend a trial in the UK. If the applicants do not meet the visitor requirements of the Rules but provide confirmation from solicitors that attendance at the trial is essential to either the prosecution or the defence, ECOs should refer full details of the case to ECO Support who will liaise with Managed Migration and Border Control Implementation.
